About the House: The house is a charming colonial on Brandywine Street at River Road, NW. The first floor consists of a separate living and dining room, a spacious, eat-in kitchen with large pantry and a sun porch / laundry with high-efficiency washer/dryer and bicycle area. Nine-foot ceilings and ten windows let in loads of sunshine. The second floor has seven windows and three bedrooms that share a bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower. The lower level has a bedroom with private entrance and lots of light and windows, full bathroom, closet area, full-size refrigerator, private bath and storage area. Added features are dual-zoned central heat & air units for the upstairs and downstairs, hardwood floors, professional grade stove/oven, and Pella insulated windows. The large fenced-in backyard has two decks and lots of outdoor space for entertaining. Available Room: The available room is the middle, upstairs bedroom located on the second floor and includes one window letting in lots of natural light and a large closet space. The room is large enough for a full-size bed, nightstand, desk and dresser. About the Area: House is located one block from the Tenleytown/AU Park Metro station, CVS, Whole Foods, Target, ACE Hardware, Guapo's, Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread, Dunkin Doughnuts, Wawa, Chipotle and many other retail and restaurant destinations. There are plenty of bus stops, gym, public tennis courts, and an Olympic-size swimming pool at Jackson-Reed High School. It's also two blocks to the new AU law school.
